The Idea
The first concept for LIMINAL is born.
The Journey
Every game begins with an idea. This one became an obsession.
It Started With a Question
For years I've loved horror games, horror films and psychological horror stories. But every game asked me to survive the monster. Very few asked me to become it.
That single idea became the foundation of LIMINAL.
Not another fantasy card game. Not another game about heroes. A horror trading card game where every player becomes an Entity, spreads Fear and works toward their own terrifying ending.
Why Build a Trading Card Game?
Trading card games create stories that no script could ever write. Every match becomes a different horror story.
Different decisions. Different sacrifices. Different endings.
I wanted every Entity to feel like its own playable horror film.
Building in Public
LIMINAL is being built in the open. Ideas. Artwork. Rule changes. Playtests. Successes. Failures.
Every important decision is documented through the Development Journal because I want people to experience the journey—not just the finished game.
Prototype Alpha
LIMINAL is currently in Prototype Alpha. Core mechanics are being tested. Entities continue to evolve. Every playtest helps shape the final experience.
Nothing is considered finished until it creates memorable moments around the table.
The Vision
LIMINAL is more than a trading card game. Every Entity has its own story. Every Location has its own history. Development Journals document the creation process. Lore expands the universe.
One day I hope players won't just play LIMINAL. They'll disappear into it.
